Wall drying is part of the moisture treatment process. Rising damp is a physical phenomenon caused by moisture from the ground rising through the walls.
We can speak of a moisture problem. All porous materials in contact with the ground are affected. Water circulating in the ground comes into contact with masonry, which lacks a capillary break during construction. To stop rising damp, the root cause must be addressed.
Any wall naturally generates a difference in electrical potential with the ground, which propagates moisture. Water then rises through the porosity of the wall, maintaining the potential difference.
The principle of the ATE LC30 electronic drying unit is to generate a counter-current in the wall. The drying of damp walls (and preventive drying) is achieved using an electronic device placed directly on the wall: the drying unit.
The device emits weak electrical impulses into the wall toward the ground. This reverses the polarity of the electromagnetic fields in the wall, pushing the water downward.
Wall drying with an electronic unit is one of the main solutions to combat moisture in walls caused by rising damp (when ground moisture rises through the walls) or lateral infiltration due to hydrostatic pressure. It offers several advantages:
- Wall drying does not damage the walls: no vibrations, no drilling…
- Faster wall drying.
- Addresses the root cause of the problem.
- Well-suited for old or fragile walls.
- Effective.
Drying occurs within 18 to 24 months (depending on the specific characteristics of the building and adherence to recommendations*).
The natural insulating power of the wall is reinforced, reducing heating costs as the walls become less damp.
It generates no noise, no harmful waves, and consumes very little electricity.

What is the purpose of our ATE LC30 electromagnetic polarity reverser?
Our ATE LC30 electromagnetic polarity reverser is the solution to humidity problems in your home. It dries walls by reversing rising damp.
How does our ATE LC30 electromagnetic polarity reverser work?
Our ATE LC30 electromagnetic polarity reverser emits a very low-frequency electromagnetic field that changes the orientation of water molecules. These molecules then fall by gravity into the foundations, carrying with them part of the salts responsible for efflorescence and damp stains. The drying of the walls occurs afterward through the natural evaporation of moisture.
It can be easily installed or mounted in damp areas without affecting the masonry.
Result: Your walls will dry within 18 to 24 months (depending on the specific characteristics of the building and compliance with recommendations*).
- INSTALLING THE ATE LC30 ELECTROMAGNETIC POLARITY REVERSER:
- The device must be installed at least 1.50 meters away from any electrical or electronic appliance.
- Installation height: Minimum 30 cm to 1 meter from the ground.
- The device should be mounted on the wall like a painting.
- The device should not be moved.
- The device must be placed directly on a load-bearing wall or partition (and not on plasterboard).
- Know the dimensions of the building (mainly the largest diagonal) to determine if the effective diameter of one STOP ONE unit covers the entire building.
- The ATE LC30 electromagnetic polarity reverser must remain connected at all times, but its power consumption is extremely low (only 0.75 W, costing about €15/year).
- REMOVAL OF COATINGS OR FILM-FORMING COATINGS
It is recommended to remove the lower part of wall coverings during the drying period up to about 10 cm above the degradation line to allow the walls to breathe.
- BUILDING VENTILATION
Good air circulation is necessary since part of the drying process occurs through evaporation. Proper ventilation is therefore essential.
- Install appropriate ventilation in your building.
- Ensure doors meet standards (cut doors to a minimum of 1.5 cm in dry rooms and 2 cm in wet rooms).
- Install fans in windows.
- RESTORATION OF COATINGS AND PAINTS
When the walls are dry, hygroscopic salts that seek moisture migrate to the surface, and it is essential to remove most of them with a brush. For perfect wall drying, not only must the walls be dry and sound, but it is also essential to prevent mineral salts from rising into the coatings. We recommend redoing your facade plasters with lime and an additive against hygroscopic salts.
- DRAIN INSTALLATION
It is recommended to install a drain in case of lateral infiltration. The drainage system collects groundwater and removes it before it reaches the foundations.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The factors influencing the speed of wall drying include their thickness, composition, and coating, as well as compliance with our recommendations.
This type of procedure does not address issues related to infiltration, flooding, or mold in your home; these must be treated separately.
